We are in the process of planning events and programs for 2010. We will be offering another Jewish garden bike tour in the spring/summer, and we also plan to have more canning/food preservation workshops, including a cheesemaking class. In addition, we will be gleaning at Sauvie Island Organics during the harvest season.

Tu B'Shevat Green Shabbat at Shaarie Torah
This event, hosted by Shaarie Torah, brings the Jewish community together for a seasonal vegetarian Shabbat dinner and brief presentation and food trivia quiz by a member of the Tuv Ha'Aretz steering committee to celebrate Tu B'Shevat, (birthday of the trees). This event is open to everyone. Note: The dinner will follow a short Shabbat service led by Shaarie Torah's middle schoolers.
When: Friday, Jan. 29, 6:00 p.m.
Where: Congregation Shaarie Torah, 920 NW 25th Ave., Portland
Cost: $10 for Shaarie Torah members, $12 for non-members. RSVP required by 1/26.
