Join Portland Tuv Ha’Aretz
for our second annual Jewish edible garden bike tour

Sunday, July 25, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
A slow-paced social bike tour of edible gardens, beehives and urban chicken coops in SE Portland.
What we'll do:
• Visit four to six Jewish gardeners in SE Portland and learn about their gardening/Jewish practices
• Learn about different ways to create sustainability in your home garden
• Taste freshly picked foods growing in the gardens (contingent on what is ready to harvest)
• Meet other Jewish gardeners/cyclists and make new friends
What to know:
• Wear weather and bike-appropriate clothing.
• This ride is for adults and kids aged 13 and older.
• Bring a bike helmet (all cyclists MUST wear a helmet in order to participate in the ride).
• Bring a picnic lunch (we’ll eat together in a local park after the ride).
• This ride will take place rain or shine. Bring sunscreen and/or rainwear, as appropriate.
This event is limited to 30 participants and is therefore open to Tuv Ha’Aretz members only. If you are not yet a member of Tuv Ha’Aretz, just go to http://portlandtuv.org/join/ to sign up.
